To confront the ideas of a figure like Lucy Mair is foolhardy. First, because of the respect that her extensive and rigorous work as an anthropologist deserves. Second, because of the skillful game she plays with the arguments she presents on ethnocide. Because the real points at issue are not the ones Lucy Mair mentions, but precisely the ones she omits.
