Modo de producción asiático y el Estado Inca

Published 1976-01-01

The level of development of the productive forces in a society is expressed in the productivity of labor. This productivity of labor depends on the development of the means of labor, on the knowledge of nature, on the skill of the producers, on the organization of labor and on the conditions of nature.

Although all these factors converge in each social development, they do so in each society in a particular way. In Inca society, the increase in the social productivity of labor is due, above all, to a development in the organization of the labor force that permits a more effective utilization of the conditions of nature, while the development of the means of labor is undoubtedly of secondary importance.
